Salt and Pepper in Love’s Salad

A life swings in peace and parody —
a lukewarm tragedy that believes in comedy
Heart puts time to pace in a struggle —
it is either rich or a pauper.

A couple keen to keep their love together reside in the same chest —
two nuts to sake the sack for ever
Little leaves to time their judgement but it is believed that
‘a sacrifice equals a promise observed till death’

Love sparks in its infancy like a laugh dispels its secrecy —
satisfied without a sacrifice and soaring the night with its wings
No one knows the trick to treat the lover to a crisp rhapsody of lips
without forgiving the fool’s jeopardy
